Obviously rational arguments won't work with this administration. Let's hope that the self-interested people in congress who have various space-related institutions/firms in their constituencies will lobby for the changes, but I don't have high hopes.
This looks pretty bad. I was naive enough to expect that the pro-Elon faction would cancel useless garbage like Artemis and Starliner, but they instead go after the actual science programs?
