I’m Das_F1sHy312 and currently building something called Pointer – a privacy-focused, offline-first code editor that integrates locally running LLMs for suggestions, completions, and refactoring.
The idea is simple: bring the power of tools like Cursor or Codeium to your own machine — no cloud, no API keys, no tracking, and 100% open-source.
Current focus areas:
- Seamless integration with local LLMs via Ollama or LM Studio
- Designing the Agent with all possible tools
- Minimalist UI - btw not a VSCode fork
- Embedded inline buttons for common tasks (e.g. refactor, explain, fix)
- Designed to be fast, simple, and distraction-free
It’s still early — no stable release yet — but development is active and public.
